About Kids for Life
Kids for Life is a group of kids helping other kids whose families have been affected by breast cancer. We meet to plan 'Fun"raisers, meetings and discussions to come up with ideas to help breast cancer patients. We get together to make baskets and meals that we donate to breast cancer patients at various events. Even if you're not affected by breast cancer, we hope you join us and help to support our cause! Some of our Kids for Life kids made "friends" for our "friends for life" theme for the LI 2-day walk. Thanks to all who visited us at rest stop #3- the rest stop we manned! Enjoy the pics in the slide show below.
	We went to Huntington Hospital to visit cancer patients who are part of the Look Good - Feel Better program. We got together after school and worked on putting together these packages of items (pillow, blanket, books, mini gifts, etc). We drove to Huntington Hospital and met everyone in the lounge for pictures and to hand over these beautiful packages to the patients.
I can't even fully express how wonderful it felt to see the looks on the patients faces! They were so happy and appreciative that the kids were so involved in trying to make a difference and bring joy their way. The patients love their gifts! The kids felt so great knowing they do something good for these patients.
	Therapeutic Scrapbooking for Kids for Life... our kids! - Cost was only $5 per person! This is the description from our May calendar: Come and make a file folder journal! Each book will contain areas for pictures and/or journaling. Each person will receive a kit with everything they need to make this book, and then we can assemble them together. You are welcome to bring pictures if you like, or you can add them later on when you get home. This is a great place to record your special memories for you and your family. We will also be making a Kids for Life scrapbook
